Tree Day adds new trees to Weyburn's Tatagwa Parkway

The City of Weyburn hosted the annual Tatagwa Tree Day event on August 6,, to plant approximately 135 coniferous and deciduous trees. There were over 30 people who registered to help plant the trees.

Children in the College for Kids summer program at Southeast College took part in sports week this week, including a visit from five Weyburn Red Wings, and from the Weyburn Lacrosse Association, along with Weyburn Soccer. They played some road hockey with the Red Wings, and learned game basics about soccer and lacrosse.

Weyburn police have young visitors from summer programs

Groups of children from two Weyburn summer programs, Sunny Scholars from the Family Place, and the Fun in the Sun program from the Weyburn Leisure Centre, took tours of the Weyburn Police station on July 26, with Const. Lisa Robertson providing the tour of the facility. For many of the children, it was a chance to say hello to Beaumont, the WPS Victim Service dog.
