MOOSOMIN — This is Todd Norgan’s first time seeking a seat on Moosomin town council, but the job is not unfamiliar to him.
“I grew up with a councillor—my mom Ann Norgan was a councillor for many, many years, so I wanted to follow in my mom’s footsteps,” he said. “But I also see great things happening for the community and I just want to be part of Moosomin’s growth and continued success.”
A founding member of the Moosomin Generals Football Club, Norgan has also been active with the Moosomin Masonic Lodge and the Moosomin Shriners. Many will also recognize Norgan from the annual rodeo as he’s been part of the Moosomin Rodeo Committee for more than 30 years.
When asked about his top priorities if elected, Norgan highlighted growth.
“Just to see Moosomin continue where we are and how the community has grown and continues to grow,” he said. “I want to see it still stay with a small-town feel, but if we get bigger, that’s great. I’d like to see another industry or two move into Moosomin area for the growth and sustainability of this area and the community.”
