COVID-19 update reported no new cases, 11 additional recoveries and five in hospital

Saskatchewan had no confirmed cases (zero) of COVID-19, keeping the provincial total at 592 on May 18. Of the 592 reported cases, 131 were considered active and 11 more people had recovered, bringing the provincial total of recoveries to 455.

Of the 592 reported cases, 131 were considered active and 11 more people had recovered, bringing the provincial total of recoveries to 455. 

There were five people in hospital on May 18, with two receiving inpatient care (one in the Saskatoon and one in Regina) and three in intensive care (all in Saskatoon). 

Hospitalizations meant the total number of those in hospitals – patients living in their residences weren’t included in this tally. However, the active COVID-19 cases of those who were still living in their residences were incorporated in the SHA’s case numbers, as reported within their respective regions.
