COVID-19 revision: Saskatchewan recorded sixth death

A Saskatchewan resident in their 80s from the province’s far north region died from complications related to COVID-19, the SHA reported on April 29. This was the six death in Saskatchewan as a result of an infection with the virus.

A Saskatchewan resident in their 80s from the province’s far north region died from complications related to COVID-19, the SHA reported on April 29. This was the six death in Saskatchewan as a result of an infection with the virus. 

Saskatchewan had 17 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 383, as of April 29, 2020. Eleven of the new cases were from the far north (La Loche), five from the north region (four in Lloydminster) and one from the Saskatoon area. 

Eighty-six of the cases were considered active in Saskatchewan. Recoveries remained at 291. Also, on this date 10 people were in hospital, seven were receiving inpatient care (four in Lloydminster and three in Saskatoon), while three stayed in intensive care (Saskatoon).
