WEYBURN - The Wheatland Seniors Centre will host a Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a variety of vendors to be on hand for Christmas shoppers to check out. The Wheatland will serve beef-on-a-bun that day also, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a cost of $8 per person.

The results of the Senior Centre’s activities from Nov. 20-24 are as follows.

The winners of Spades are, in first, Basil Holyer; in secon, Erskine Sandiford; and in third, Mildred Sandiford.

In Hi-Lo Whist, first went to Marge Schulz and Faye Johnson; second went to Basil Holyer and Dave Frayn; and in third was Ray and Connie Boucher.

The winners of Canasta were Arvella Soroka in first; Trina Maas in second; Elaine Frasz was third; Marie Marcotte placed fourth; and Sheila Greiner was fifth.

For Kaiser, first went to Faye Johnson and Marge Schultz; second went to Basil Holyer and Eva Morley; third was Marie Marcotte and Eva Morley; and fourth was Jean Knibbs and Betty Knibbs.

In Thursday Crib, Joan Harder and Garth White placed first; Cheryl Vogel and Emily Zyla placed second; Ray and Connie Boucher came third; and Basil Holyer and Dave Frayn came in fourth.

The Wheatland Centre hosted a crib tournament on Nov. 18 that was well attended, with players from Davidson, Moose Jaw, Regina, Fillmore, Wolf Point, Mont., as well local attendees. There were 10 full tables and everyone had fun.

The winners are, in first, Arnold Marcotte and David Marcotte; in second, MaryLou Schultz and Laurie Evans; and in third was Garth White and Joan Harder.
