In what was a somewhat heated weekend in Yorkton, the Battlefords Midgets Stars came home with one of four possible points.
Saturday, the Stars were in line for their second win of the season, but gave up two shorthanded goals late in the third period and had to settle for the 4-4 tie.
Blair Mahon was in net and made 34 saves in 65 minutes.
Colby Cave scored twice, while Dylan Fluter and Justin Lund added singles. Colby Daniels had two assists while Lund, Fluter, Jeff Olson, Regan Yew and Jesse Gerbig had single assists.
Olson received a gross misconduct for removing his helmet in a fight in the second period along with the fighting major and game misconduct and with the gross misconduct comes an automatic suspension.
Sunday, without Olson in the lineup the Stars had Regan Santoro in the net and he suffered the 6-3 loss while facing 33 shots.
Gerbig scored twice while Dallan Walker added a single marker and Ryne Keller, Garrett Zelinski, Dillon Forbes, Eric Pfeifer and Yew had assists.
