At the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce’s recently held 5:05 Club event, a raffle was held for the right to “crown” Yorkton Chamber of Commerce President Lawrence Wegner with a freshly carved watermelon helmet. Blair Maki (right), of Flashpoint Media was the lucky person selected to do the “crowning”. Wegner wore the helmet through the entire game between the Roughriders and BC Lions which he watched on the big screen at the Painted Hand Casino. As a result of the festivities, $100 was raised for Yorkton Minor Football.
