Mary Sinkewicz October 24, 1911 - March 30, 2011 Mary Sinkewicz (nee Leptich) passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Regina. Her goal, and the wish of one of her great grandsons, was to reach the age of 100. It was not to be.

Mary Sinkewicz October 24, 1911 - March 30, 2011 Mary Sinkewicz (nee Leptich) passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Regina. Her goal, and the wish of one of her great grandsons, was to reach the age of 100. It was not to be. Mom was born October 24, 1911. We were able to celebrate her 99th birthday last October with approximately 80 family members attending. Mom was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1991 and daughter Leona in 1952. She leaves to celebrate her life, daughters, Irene, Regina, Judith, Sheila, Carol (Ed Smith), Debbie (Warren Michelson) and her son Laurence (Eva). She was also predeceased by her sons-in-law, Peter Walchuk, Lawrence Kozun, Wayne Ballman and John Elsom; her grandsons, Bernard Walchuk and Edward Elsom; great granddaughter, Megan Taylor; and granddaughter-in-law , Susan Elsom. Mom is the only remaining sibling of the Anton and Christina Leptich family. Prayer Services were held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan, by Rev. Gerry Bauche of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Weyburn. Interment followed in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada or the Saskatchewan Pro-Life Association in Mary's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.
