After students took paint and brushes to the eagle statue at Eaglestone Lodge it resulted in a complete make-over.

A major landscaping project has occupied staff and residents of Eaglestone Lodge during the past month.

Last fall, staff noticed that the soil around the building have been washed away over the years, which may become a problem, said a release from the lodge. The board decided it was time to make some repairs.

Trees were cut down, roots were dug out, dirt was hauled and a covering of rocks was placed around the building, the release said. Kam-Crete and Brian Mathew made donations towards the project.

Board members, offi ce staff, Bruce Hunter and maintenance staff all worked hard to get the job done.

Also in the past while, money was donated towards the construction of new benches for the lodge, it said. High school students came out and painted the eagle ornament, giving it a needed 鈥渇ace lift.鈥

The front gazebo now has furniture in it and both residents and staff are enjoying it, it said. Residents thank all the board members for all the help they have provided to get the work done.

鈥淓aglestone is looking great, so drive by and take a look,鈥 it said.
